Q. What is the difference between Wi-Fi NVR kit & regular NVR?
A. A regular NVR connects any ONVIF IP camera through a wired connection, while Wi-Fi NVR kit comes with a bundle of 4 IP cameras and connects via wireless connection.

Q. Can we use Wi-Fi kit camera separately with Wi-Fi router?
A. No, all the cameras of a kit are bind to the Wi-Fi NVR and never use separately.

Q. Can we use Wi-Fi kit camera separately with regular NVR?
A. No, we can’t use.

Q: Does NVR have PTZ control?
A: The system has only zoom function on Smartphone. It’s digital zoom, not optical zoom. When one Channel picture is in full screen, you can use your 2 fingers to zoom in and out on your phone.

Q: Does the system support Audio?
A: No, only show video.

Q: Does the Camera need to connect with Ethernet cable?
A: No need, each camera only needs to connect with power supply. All cameras are paired with NVR before shipping.

Q: Does WallCam Wireless security system needs Internet?
A: WallCam system has its own 2.4GHz wireless signal. The camera and NVR are paired before shipping. Internet is only required if the user wants to see live video remotely by Smartphone and PC.

Q: Can I connect the system with home Wi-Fi to strengthen the signal?
A: No, you can’t. Wi-Fi NVR system is working by its own 2.4GHZ wireless signal.

Q: What is the working distance between NVR and camera?
A: Theoretically, in open space, around 70-100 meter. With obstacles, around 20-30 meter. It depends on user environment actually. As you know, walls, obstacles, electrical products will affect the wireless signal. The cameras can’t be installed too far from the NVR in a house built with concrete blocks. NVR and antennas should not be close to a wireless phone, WI-FI AP, electric motor, engine or electric transformer. These create a lot of wireless interference and cause signal levels from the camera to vary a lot.

Q. How to Check NVR detect HDD or not?
A: Go to the screen monitor, right-click the mouse>>>system setup>>> General setup & HDD setup,

you will get HDD information.

Q: When HDD is full, do I need to delete recordings?
A: No need, if HDD is full, the new recordings will automatically overwrite the prior recording.

Q: System includes a hard drive, why it shows “HDD not found” or “HDD not recognize”?
A: Follow the below steps:
(A) Double check if the power adapter for NVR is DC 12V-3000mA. The power supply for NVR and camera are different. The supply for NVR is DC 12V-3000mA. The power supply for the camera is DC 12V-1000mA. Don’t mix the power supply of NVR and camera.
(B) If step A is not working, open the NVR and check if the cable of the hard drive is loose. Re-connect the cable of HDD.

Q: NVRis connected with router, live video is showing, what should user do when Cloud Status is offline?
A: Follow the below steps:
(A) Check if NVR is connected to router well. Connect the Router LAN Port to NVR ethernet port with network cable provided.
(B) Go to monitor screen, right-click the mouse>>>System setup>>>Network setup, select DHCP and Enable, then click ok.
Power off NVR around 2-3 seconds and power on, wait 2-3 minutes to double check.

Q: What should user do when the system cannot be online automatically after the system powered off suddenly?
A: Right click the mouse, go to System Setup >>> Network Setup >>> provide local static ip within the series of router ip.

Q: When NVR is connected well, the monitor is black/out of range/not support mode?
A: The default output resolution of the NVR is 1280*1024, which may not be compatible with some screens. Connect PC/TV monitor with NVR by VGA cable first. On the monitor, make sure the “input” is set to VGA. If no VGA cable, try another monitor with HDMI cable until getting video on the monitor screen. Don’t forget to change the input to HDMI on a TV. When you see the video on another monitor, right-click the mouse, go to System setup>>> General setup & Screen setup, adjust the VGA resolution to 1080p@60, click ok finally. Change to connect system with the first TV monitor, check if you can see the video once connected.

Q: What should user do when cameras show “IPC disconnect”, “No video”, “Sever not found”, “Connect failed” and so on?
A: Check power supply of the camera, it is working or not.
If power supply and camera are working, go to monitor screen, right-click the mouse, navigate to Video manage to check if you got any IP addresses of cameras.

Q: How to Get Better Wireless Connection between Camera and NVR?
A: If there are obstacles between NVR and camera, adjust the height of camera or don’t install camera and NVR on different floors. Floors normally block more wireless signal than walls. The cameras can’t be installed too far from the NVR in a house built with concrete blocks. NVR and antennas should not be close to a wireless phone, WI-FI AP, electric motor, engine or electric transformer. These create a lot of wireless interference and cause signal levels from the camera to vary a lot.
Always find a possible open place between NVR and camera. Mount camera and place NVR accordingly to allow the signal to pass. If one or few cameras are out of wireless signal range, use repeater first, if the repeater is not working, pls connects the camera to your router with an RJ45 network cable.

Q: How to use Repeater to strengthen the wireless signal?
A: Follow the below steps:
Press right click on your mouse>>>video management>>>repeater


1. Add repeater: As illustrated in below picture, click ‘+’ besides channel 3, choose another channel.

2. As illustrated in below screenshot, it means IP camera 3 is connected to NVR through IP camera 2 and IP camera 1. IP camera 2 is connected through IP camera 1. IP camera 1 is connected to NVR directly.

3. Click ‘Apply” then click ‘refresh’ to check if the setting is successful.

Q: What should I do when NVR keeps restarting?
A: Follow the below steps:
(A) Make sure the power adapter for NVR is DC 12V-3000mA. Don’t mix the power supply of NVR and camera.
(B)If step (A) is not working, go to monitor screen, right-click the mouse>>>system setup>>>General setup & HDD setup>>>click format>>>click OK.
If step (B) is not working, right-click the mouse>>>system setup>>>system admin & factory setting, click all and ok.

Q: What should user do when they forget the system password?
A: Follow the below steps:
1. First login without password
2. There will be an error message for incorrect password
3. Keep mouse pointer on the error message and click, left-click then right-click 12 times.
4. A dialogue will prompt “do you want t change the password?” , click yes.
5. Leave old password blank, provide the new and confirm the password.
